The fun begins when you take a 3-mile trip to the Wind Cave Trail out-and-back. Wind Cave Trail is well known for its incredible activity options from November through April. It is located near Apache Junction in Arizona and provides beautiful scenes of wildlife as you pass the Usery Mountain Regional Park. Considered a moderate hike, Wind Cave Trail is heavily trafficked and allows an exciting opportunity for stretching your legs and you discover a trailhead elevation of about 2,000 feet.
The journey starts at a popular trailhead that is well-marked and straightforward to follow. As you continue ascending, the path will lead you up to a 10x12 feet cave. This is the endpoint. However, you can walk higher for great views. The average time taken is about 2 hours for the entire trek.
There is a parking fee of $7 per vehicle.
