Nestled in the Cougar Mountain Regional Park, the Wildside Trail is a 2.3-mile, out-and-back trail. A multi-use trail, the Wildside Trail is mostly used for hiking, running and nature walk. Accessible all year round, the Wildside Trail is home to a variety of indigenous plants and trees such as maple, alder, conifers, and western hemlock. On top of that, the Wildside Trail is the easiest way to get to the Rainbow town hall, Steam Hoist Trail and the Bagley Steam Trail. It is important to point out that the Wildside Trail is more challenging in comparison to the other trails on the mountain’s western region. While dogs are allowed on the trail they should be kept on a leash at all times. Hikers should remember to carry plenty of drinking water when visiting the Wildside Trail.
