The Wilderness Peak Trail is a 4-mile, loop trail located within the Cougar Mountains Regional Wildland Park. Because of its gradual terrain, the Wilderness Peak Trail is suitable for both children and inexperienced hikers. Although there are hardly any views or vistas in the trail it still offers several activity options such as hiking, running, and birdwatching. This is due to its diverse terrain made up of forested hillsides, wooden footbridges, swampy areas, and mossy boulders. The Wilderness Peak Trail is accessible all year round. During spring a variety of wildflowers such as trillium and the yellow violets can be found on the trail. While dogs are allowed on the trail they should be kept on leash. Hikers may obtain drinking water from nearby streams and rivers; however, they should remember to treat the water before consumption.
