The Monogram Lake Trail is a 9.8-mile, out-and-back trail located within the larger Northern Cascades National Park. A moderately trafficked trail, the Monogram Lake Trail shares the first few miles with the Lookout Mountain Trail. Being a seasonal trail, the Monogram Lake Trail is best used from July to October. A variety of indigenous plants such as glacier lilies and pink heather dominate a bigger section of the Monogram Lake Trail. It is important to point out that dogs are not allowed along this trail. While hikers may obtain drinking water from several water sources along this trail, they should first treat the water first before consumption. Anyone who intends to camp on the Monogram Lake Trail should first obtain a background camping permit at the trailhead.
