Rated moderate, the Hozomeen Lake Trail is a 7.3-mile trail primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching. A seasonal trail, the Hozomeen Trail is best used from April to October. The Hozomeen Lake Trail features a pristine lake as well as several meandering streams. Hikers will get the opportunity of viewing various wildlife such as bears and mountain lions. While leashed dogs are allowed on the trail, this hike is not recommended for children. Hikes must carry their own water, as no water fountains are available. No fee is charged to access the site, but a background camping permit is required to stay overnight.
