The Howard Lake trail is a 3.3-mile moderately trafficked trail in the Stehekin Valley, Washington. Accessible throughout the year, the Howard Lake Trail offers hikers some breathtaking sceneries including the McGregor Mountain, Howard Lake, Agnes Mountain, and the Dome peak. Hiking through the Howard Lake Trail takes hikers through alpine ecosystems, ponderosa forests and Douglas fir plantations. A variety of wildlife and insects can be found on the Howard Lake trail including woodpeckers, raccoons, and dragonflies. While children are allowed on the Howard Lake Trail, dogs are not allowed. Though drinking water is available on this trail, hikers should remember to carry water purifiers.
