The Green Lake Trail is a 9.6-mile, out-and-back trail located within the Mount Rainier National Park. A heavily trafficked trail, the Green Lake Trail is mostly used for hiking and nature walks. Being a seasonal trail, the Green Lake Trail is mostly used from May to October. Alpines, fir trees and western hemlocks are quite common along the Green Lake Trail. From the highest sections of the Green Lake Trail, hikers will get breathtaking views of the Green Lake, Carbon River, and the valleys of Olympic coast. It is important to point out that dogs are not allowed on the Green Lake Trail. Hikers should always carry plenty of drinking water when visiting the Green lake trail. A National Park Pass is needed to access the Green Lake Trail.
