Located in in the Olympic National Forest in Washington, Colonel Bob #851 Trail is a 15.6-mile, moderately trafficked, out-and-back trail. Colonel Bob #851 trail is ideal for hiking, backpacking, and camping activities. The trail is best accessed from March to October. However, the path is not suitable for kids, wheelchair users and dogs are not allowed. The Colonel Bob #851 trail starts at Pete’s Creek, running through the scenic beauty of Quinault Lake, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Olympus, and myriad wildflowers. Make sure you bring lots of water to sustain you to the top and back. The trail is rated difficult by hikers with an elevation gain of 5,433 feet.
