Located within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Leavenworth, WA, the Trap Lake Trail is an 11-mile out-and-back trail rated moderate. A lightly trafficked trail, the Trap Lake Trail is mostly used for walking, hiking, bird viewing and running. Being a seasonal trail, the Trap Lake trail is best used from April to October. Asters and broomrapes are quite common on the trail, and from the highest sections of the trail, hikers will be rewarded with various scenic vistas including the Hope Lake, Trap Lake, Mig Lake and Lake Josephine. While dogs are allowed on the Trap Lake trail, they should always be on a leash. Hikers should remember to carry plenty of drinking water.
