The Terrace Trail is a 1.8 -mile, out-and-back trail located in Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park near Renton, WA. A lightly trafficked trail, the Terrace Trail is mostly used for hiking, nature walks, walking and bird viewing. Accessible throughout the year, the Terrace Trail is suitable for children and inexperienced hikers. Trillium and lilies are quite common on the Terrace Trail. Being a sanctuary for wildlife, the Terrace Trail is home to wild eagles, pileated woodpeckers, and red-shafted flickers. From the highest sections of the Terrace Trail, hikers will get to view the De Leo Wall Peak. While dogs can access this trail, they should always be on a leash. Hikers should remember to carry drinking water when visiting the trail.
