Located in Eastern Washington, the Steamboat Rock Trail is a 6-mile loop trail. A moderately trafficked trail, the Steamboat Rock Trail is mostly used for running, walking, hiking, and nature walks. Being a seasonal trail, the Steamboat Rock trail is best used from March to October. Alpines and lupines dominate a bigger section of the trail, while deer, snakes, and marmots are the commonly sighted wildlife on the trail. From the highest point of the Steamboat Rock Trail, hikers view the Colville National Forest, the waters of Banks Lake and the snowcapped peaks of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. While dogs are permitted on the trail, they should always be on a leash. Hikers will need a Discover pass to access the Steamboat Rock Trail.
