White Oak Lake’s Spring Branch Trail is an easy 1/3-mile walk. With consistent elevation, the trail is easily accessible to the beginner skill level. The path, primarily dirt, is also easy to navigate. Even if you’re not a hiker, this is a great nature walk that will show a sampling of Arkansas trees.
This loop trail begins behind the visitor’s center, which houses restrooms and drinking fountains convenient for trail users. Starting near the visitor's center also means hikers have plenty of available parking. Spring Branch Trail is dog-friendly, but they must remain leashed while on the trail. Chilren are allowed on the trail, and do quite well with this length and skill level. The trail does not skirt the shore, so the best views of the water are from the fishing pier near the playground and visitor center.
