The Soldiers Trail is a pleasant 1.7-mile, lightly trafficked trail on Buffalo Creek and Slough Creek in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. With an elevation gain of 406 feet, this trail is rated intermediate and is used for hiking, trail running and walking. The Soldiers Trail is kid-friendly included and can be accessed any time of the day, preferably in summer and fall. The Soldiers Trail offers pleasant views of beautiful meadows, wild flowers, forest, wildlife and creeks. There is enough parking space at the trailhead but hikers are not allowed to bring their dogs on the trail. Be sure to bring fresh drinking water.
