Located within the Mount Rainier National Park near Paradise Inn, the Skyline Trail Loop is a 5.9-mile loop trail that is rated moderate. A heavily trafficked trail, the Skyline Trail Loop is mostly used for backpacking, camping, hiking, and walking. Being a seasonal trail, it is best used from July to October. Indigenous plant species found along the Skyline Trail Loop include lupines and bistort. Bears are also quite common along the trail. From the highest sections of the trail, hikers will get to enjoy scenic views of the Tatoosh Wilderness, Mount Adams, Goat Rocks and Mount St. Helens. A National Park Pass is required at the trailhead to access the Skyline Trail Loop. Dogs are not allowed on the trail.
