The Sky Country Trail is a 6.2-mile, loop trail located within the Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park. A heavily trafficked trail, the Sky Country Trail is mostly used for hiking, running and nature walk. While the Sky Country Trail is accessible throughout the year, hikers should watch out for poison oaks during winter. Because of its gradual terrain, the Sky Country Trail is suitable for children and inexperienced hikers. It is important to point out that the Sky Country Trail does not offer plenty of views. Nonetheless, hikers will still get to enjoy the streams and the waterfall from the highest point of the trail. While dogs can access this trail, they should always be on a leash. Hikers may obtain drinking water from rivers and streams, however, they should treat the water first before consumption.
