Shoshone Geyser Basin Trail is a 10–mile, lightly trafficked, point-to-point trail near Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. This trail is rated intermediate with an elevation gain of 400 feet and is accessible to the entire family. The Sentinel Geyser Basin Trail affords stunning views of beautiful open meadows, creeks, scenic setting on Shoshone Lake, and hundreds of large and active thermal features in the wild and untouched Shoshone Geyser Basin, the largest backcountry geyser basin in Yellowstone, in all its glory. The Sentinel Geyser Basin Trail is used for hiking and nature walks any time of the day and overnight camping, all year round. Parking space is available at the trail head, but no fresh drinking water is available.
