The Sam Willey Trail is a moderately trafficked, out-and-back trail that is rated advanced in terms of difficulty. It takes about five hours to hike the 4.78-mile-long trail that has an elevation gain of 2,828 feet. The Sam Willy Trail is dog-friendly and although kids are allowed, it is not recommended to bring kids along since it is strenuous. The trail is open from March all through to October. Hikers using the Sam Willey Trail are advised to carry a lot of drinking water. The Sam Willey Trail is used primarily for hiking, bird watching, and nature trips.
