The Ring Road Trail is a 3.7-mile, out-and-back trail found within the Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park near Renton, WA. A moderately trafficked trail, the Ring Road Trail is mostly used for hiking, horseback riding, walking, bird viewing and running. Accessible throughout the year, the Ring Road Trail is suitable for children and inexperienced hikers. While the Ring road trail is pretty short, hikers will still get to enjoy breathtaking views of the massive forested spaces. Horseback riders can also use the Ring Road Trail as well. While dogs can access the Ring Road Trail, they should always be on a leash. Hikers should always carry drinking water when visiting the trail since there are no water sources on the Ring Road Trail.
