The Red Town Trail is a 1.62-mile, out-and-back trail located within the Cougar Mountain Regional Wildman Park near Renton, WA. A moderately trafficked trail, the Red Town Trail is mostly used for nature walks, hiking, walking and bird viewing. Mountain biking is not allowed on the Red Town Trail. Being a seasonal trail, it can be accessed from April to September. Ferns and pines dominate a bigger section of the Red Town Trail. Hikers will be rewarded with a few scenic views including the breathtaking Far Country Falls and the moving stream found in Coal Creek Trail at the highest point of the trail. While dogs can access the trail, they should always be on a leash. Hikers should always carry their own water when visiting the trail since there is no potable water on the Red Town Trail.
