Punch Bowl-Black Sand Basin Trail is a flat, 1.4-mile, point-to-point, moderately trafficked trail on Iron Spring Creek in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The trail is kid-friendly, but dogs are not permitted. The elevation gain is 6 feet. The Punch Bowl-Black Sand Basin Trail is primarily used for hiking, any time of the day preferably in summer and fall. However, hikers do not bring their dogs on the trail. The Punch Bowl-Black Sand Basin Trail offers scenic views of wildlife, geyser eruptions, hot springs, and geothermal features to check out along the way. Remember to stay on the trail boardwalks at all times.
