The Ptarmigan Ridge Trail is a 9-mile, out-and-back trail located in Deming, Washington. A moderately difficult trail, the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail features magnificent views of Mount Baker, Mt. Shuksan, Goat Lake, and Coleman Pinnacle. Sedges, lupines, and blueberries add to the aesthetics of the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail. While young kids are not encouraged to use the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail, leashed dogs are allowed. Mountain goats and marmots are quite common along the trail. Because of its strenuous and rocky terrain, the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail is the perfect destination for the most experienced hikers. Potable water is available along the trail.
