Located within the Issaquah Alps in Cougar Mountain, the Primrose Trail is a 0.5-mile, out-and-back trail. Activities carried out on the Primrose Trail include running, hiking, nature walks and bird viewing. A seasonal trail, the Primrose Trail is best used from April to September. Hikers should remember to carry bug repellant since there is some stagnant water at the trailhead. While dogs are allowed on the Primrose Trail, the should always be on a leash. It is important to point out that the Primrose Trail does not offer any scenic view. At the highest section of the Primrose Trail, hikers will have a distant view of the Lakemont Blvd. traffic. Hikers should remember to carry plenty of drinking water.
