Located within the Mount Rainier National Park near Paradise Inn, the Pinnacle Saddle Trail is a 2.4-mile, heavily trafficked, out-and-back trail that is rated moderate. This trail is mainly used for hiking, nature walks and bird viewing and is best used from May to October. Bluebirds and bears are quite common on the trail. From the highest sections of the trail, hikers will get breathtaking views of Mount Rainier, Mount Hood, Mount Adams, and Mount St. Helens. It is important to point out that pets are not allowed on the Pinnacle Saddle Trail. To access the Pinnacle Saddle Trail, hikers must obtain a National Park Pass.
