The Palisades Trail is a 15.9-mile, out-and-back trail located within the mount Rainer Area near Enumclaw. A moderately trafficked trail, the Palisades Trail is mainly used for snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking and bird viewing. Accessible throughout the year, this trail is home to a variety of indigenous plants such as Indian paintbrush. From the highest sections of the trail, hikers will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Sun Top Mountain, Skookum Falls and White River Valley. Dogs on leash are allowed on the trail. The Palisades Trail does not have any bathroom facilities, and hikers should bring their own drinking water. Those who wish to view the scenic Snoquera Falls can add 3 miles to their trip.
