The North Fork Belly River is a kid-friendly, moderately trafficked, point-to-point trail used for hiking and bird watching. It takes about 10 hours to hike the 17-mile long trail that has a mixed surface and an elevation gain of 3,400 feet. Dogs are not permitted on the North Fork Belly River Trail. Hikers ought to carry drinking water since there are no drinking water points and restrooms on the trail. The North Fork Belly River Trail gives its users spectacular views of Sentinel Mountain, fall colors, and a forest. Geraniums and arnica flowers are scattered on the best part of the trail. The North Fork Belly River Trail is home to many wild animals like elks, deer, and bears. For this reason, hikers are advised to carry a bear spray. There are several birds found on the North Fork Belly River like savannah sparrows, chickadees, and nuthatches. The North Fork Belly River Trail is accessible all year round.
