The Naches Peak Loop Trail is a 3.3-mile, loop trail located within the Mount Rainier National Park near Ashford. A heavily trafficked trail that is suitable for hikers of all skill levels, the Naches Peak Loop Trail is mainly used for hiking, horseback riding, nature walks, running, walking and bird viewing. The trail is best used from July to October, and cherries and huckleberries are quite common along the trail. From the highest sections of the Naches Peak Loop trail, hikers will get picturesque views of Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Yakima Peak, Naches Peak, Seymour Peak, Dewey Lakes and Tipsoo Lakes. Dogs are not allowed on the Naches Peak trail. Hikers should always carry plenty of drinking water when visiting the trail.
