The Mt. Henry Trail is a lightly trafficked out-and-back trail that is used mainly for hiking, running, bird watching, and nature trips. The 12.4 mile-long trail has a mixed surface and an elevation gain of 3,106 feet. The Mt. Henry Trail is rated strenuous in terms of difficulty and it is not encouraged for kids. Dogs are not permitted on the trail. The Mt. Henry Trail has a lodgepole forest with a variety of bird species like chickadees, American pipits, and grouse. Flowers visible from the trail include alpine flowers, fireweed, cow parsnip, and aspen are very common on this trail. The Mt. Henry Trail is located on bear territory and hikers are advised to carry a bear spray. There are no restrooms or drinking water points on the trail, and users of this trail ought to carry their own drinking water. The Mt. Henry Trail is open all year round.
