The Military Road Trail is a 1.38-mile, out-and-back trail located within the Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park near Bellevue, WA. Because of its gradual terrain, the Military Road Trail is suitable for children and inexperienced hikers. A lightly trafficked trail, the Military Road Trail is best used for hiking, nature walks and running. Hikers can access the Military Road Trail throughout the year. For good traction, waterproof boots will come in handy when hiking on the trail. Hikers should not expect a lot of scenic views while hiking on the trail. While dogs are allowed in the trail, they should always be on a leash. Besides being a short trail, the Military Road Trail can be used to access several other trails such as the Primrose Overlook, Red Town Creek, and the Little Creek Trail. Hikers should always carry plenty of drinking water when visiting the trail.
