Situated within the Mount Rainier Area, the Mildred Point Trail is a 7-mile, out-and-back trail. It is mainly used for hiking and snowshoeing. Accessible throughout the year, the Mildred Point Trail offers outstanding views of the Barren Kautz Creek Valley and its massive lush terrain. It is important to point out that dogs are not allowed on the trail. Hikers may obtain drinking water from nearby streams although they should remember to treat the water first before drinking. While microspikes are not a must, they will definitely come in handy when hiking on some sections of the trail. A National Park pass is required before gaining access to the Mildred Point trail.
