Midway Geyser Basin Trail is a beautiful short 0.8-mile lollipop loop heavily trafficked trail located near Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. With an elevation gain of just 55 feet, this kid-friendly trail is good for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching, all day long preferably from May until September. The hiking time is approximately half an hour. The Midway Geyser Basin Trail is home to two of Yellowstone’s largest and most interesting geothermal features, as well as beautiful views of hot springs, river, waterfall, wildflowers, and wildlife. There is enough parking area at the trailhead, but dogs are not allowed on the Midway Geyser Basin Trail. Bring drinking water; take out all trash; and remember not to touch any hydrothermal features.
