Located within Glacier National Park, the Medicine Grizzly Trail is a kid friendly, moderately trafficked, out-and-back trail used for birding, hiking and running. The 127 mile long trail has an elevation gain of 625 feet and is rated moderate in terms of difficulty. The Medicine Grizzly Trail is open all year round and dogs are not permitted on the trail. There are no restrooms or water drinking points on the Trail. The trail has a river, a lake and beautiful waterfall. Flowers like arnica, fleabane, bear grass and columbine spiraea are scattered along the trail. Tree squirrels, marmots, golden-mantled squirrels, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and bears are very common on the trail as well. Users of Medicine Grizzly Trail are advised to carry a bear spray.
