Nestled in Renton, Washington the Long View Peak Trail is a 3.3-mile, out-and-back trail. Although the Long View Peak Trail does not offer hikers incredible views and vistas, the trail is still great for various activities such as hiking, bird watching, nature trips and running. A moderately trafficked trail, the Long View Peak Trail is accessible all year round. Western hemlocks and sword ferns dominate a bigger section of the Long View Peak Trail. At the highest section of the trail, hikers will come across a horse hitch that is surrounded by numerous trees. While dogs are allowed on the trail, they should always be kept on leash. Hikers should remember to carry plenty of drinking water since the trail does not have any water sources.
