Kootenai Cabin Trail is a 1.4-mile, lightly trafficked, point-to-point trail located near Glacier National Park, Montana. This trail is primarily used for hiking, bird watching, trail running, and walking. With an elevation gain of 167 feet, the Kootenai Cabin Trail is rated intermediate and is family friendly, kids included. Dogs are, however, not allowed on the Trail. The trail is accessible any time of the day all year long, and hiking along the trail takes about an hour. The Kootenai Cabin Trail is a route along lush forested valley bottom to an old patrol cabin, the Kootenai Cabin. Bring fresh drinking water and bear spray.
