Johns Lake Trail is a 2-mile, well marked and easy, loop trail located near Essex, Montana. This moderately trafficked trail with an elevation gain of only 183 feet is suitable for the entire family to enjoy hiking, walking, bird watching, and horse riding on this. Johns Lake Trail is usable any time of the day best from April until October. The trail affords views of beautiful forest with lots of conifers, waterfalls and cascades, wildflowers, and gorgeous water scenery. Dogs are not allowed on the trail. Be sure to bring drinking water and bug spray.
