The Indian Trail is a 3-mile, out-and-back trail found within the Puget Sound and Islands region. Because of its gradual terrain, the Indian Trail is suitable for children and inexperienced hikers. A seasonal trail, the Indian Trail is best used from April to October. The main uses of the Indian Trail include running, bird viewing, nature trips, walking and hiking. Ospreys, eagles, seagulls and herons are quite common along the Indian Trail. While hiking on the Indian Trail, hikers will be rewarded with great views of Mount Rainer, the Olympics, Puget Sound and Vashon Island. While dogs can access this trail, they should always be on a leash. Hikers should remember to carry plenty of water when visiting the Indian Trail.
