Located deep within Okanogan County, Washington, the Hoodoo Peak Trail is a 14-mile moderately trafficked out-and-back trail. Accessible throughout the year, the Hoodoo Peak Trail is used mainly for hiking. Since some sections on the Hoodoo Peak Trail are quite unstable, hikers should always exercise caution. Hiking on the Hoodoo Peak trail presents hikers with the opportunity of enjoying breathtaking vistas such as the peaceful, dark blue Crater Lake, the small and transparent Libby Lake as well as the glaciated Bulger summits. A variety of flora including subalpine Larch, Balsamroots, and Indian paintbrush can be found on this trail. Bears are also quite common on the Hoodoo Peak trail. To access the trail, hikers will have to acquire a Northwest Forest Pass for $5 at the trailhead. Since this trail does not have potable water, hikers should remember to carry plenty of drinking water.
