Gunsight Pass Trail is a 20-mile-long, moderately trafficked, point-to-point trail located near East Glacier Park Village, Montana. With an elevation gain of 3,700 feet, this trail is recommended only for very experienced adventurers hence kids and dogs are not allowed. The Gunsight Pass Trail is used for various activities including backpacking, bird watching, camping, fishing, hiking, and nature trips. The trail can be utilized any time of the day from March until October. The Gunsight Pass Trail features soaring peaks, glaciers, stunning lakes, high passes, meadows awash with wildflowers, wildlife, and backcountry campground sites for overnight backpacking. Hiking on the trail takes a whole day, and hikers must carry enough drinking water.
