Nestled within the larger Mountain Rainier National Park Washington, the Fremont Lookout Trail is a 5.6-mile, out-and-back trail that is rated moderate. Since the Fremont Lookout Trail is seasonal, it is best used from June to September. Being a multi-use, the Fremont Trail is used for a variety of activities such as hiking, walking, running and nature trips. At the highest sections of the trail, hikers will be rewarded with sweeping views of the spectacular Grand Park, the mysterious and delightful Berkeley Park, and the high and snowy Skyscraper Mountain. Dogs are not allowed on trail. A National Park pass is needed to gain access to the trail. While hikers may obtain drinking water from nearby streams, they should remember to treat or filter the water first before drinking.
