The East Fork Trail is a 7.2-mile, out-and-back trail located within the Gifford Pinochet National Forest. A lightly trafficked trail, the East Fork Trail is mostly used for fishing, hiking, bird viewing, water sports and walking. Being a seasonal trail, the East Fork Trail is best used from March to October. Blackberries and almonds dominate a bigger section of this trail. Hiking boots and water shoes will come in handy. At the highest sections of the trail, hikers will get to enjoy scenic views of the East Fork Lewis River and the Little Lookout Mountain. While dogs can access the East Fork Trail they must always be on a leash. Hikers should always carry their own water when going to the trail.
