The Dutch Creek Trail is a lightly trafficked, 9.6-mile, point-to-point trail used for birding, hiking and nature trips. The trail provides its users with beautiful views of fall colors, a lake, and a river. With an elevation gain of 2,232.3 feet, the trail is considered strenuous and not encouraged for children. Dogs are not permitted on the trail. Hikers can enjoy flora such as geraniums, fireweed, bear grass, arnica, and alder, thimbleberries and pine fir. Often visible wildlife includes birds such as wrens and warblers, as well as larger animals like deer and bears. Hikers are advised to carry bear spray. There are no restrooms or drinking water fountains on the trail. The Dutch Creek Trail is accessible all year round.
