The Duck Lake Trail is a nice and quite 0.9-mile moderately trafficked out-and-back trail. Found in the West Thumb area of the Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, it descends to the shore of Duck Lake. With an elevation gain of 154 feet, this well-marked trail is great for beginners and offers free activity options like bird watching, nature trips, walking, and hiking. Along the Duck Lake Trail are spectacular views of wild flowers, lake, forest, wildlife. The Duck Lake Trail is kid friendly, but dogs are not allowed. The Duck lake Trail, complete with a parking area, is accessible any time of the day and is best used in summer and fall, with no reservations.
