The Dogwood Trail is a heavily trafficked, 1-mile, point-to-point, trail with well-maintained tracks. The trail is used by hikers and trail runners, but biking is not allowed on this path. The Dogwood Trail is rated as moderate in terms of difficulty due to its elevation of 515 feet. The trail has a surface of compacted dirt hence kids friendly, partially wheelchair accessed and hikers can bring their dogs along provided they are on leash. The Dogwood route offers beautiful views of Willamette River, a mix of cedar and fir tree forest, and at the highest point Mount Hood and Portland’s Skyline can be viewed. The trail does not offer fresh drinking water so hikers carry theirs. The Dogwood Trail is accessible all year round.
