Located within the Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park, the Deceiver Trail is a 4.62-mile, out-and-back trail. Hiking, running, bird viewing, walking and nature trips are among the activities carried out on the Deceiver Trail. Accessible throughout the year, the Deceiver Trail is home to a variety of indigenous plants such as the Douglas firs and ferns. Boots and hiking poles will come in handy since some sections of the Deceiver Trail are quite muddy. Dogs are allowed on the Deceiver Trail; however, they should be kept on leash. Hikers should always carry their own water when visiting trail. While hikers may also be able to obtain drinking water from various natural water sources on the Deceiver Trail, they should treat the water first before consumption.
