Panola Mountain State Park in Georgia is home to four trails with one connecting the park to Arabia Mountain. The connecting trail is a 0.2 miles long out and back route type that has an elevation gain of 837 feet. The Connecting trail is best for use between March and November for either backpacking, biking, skating, hiking or nature trips. Winding through the granite outcrop and over the South River, the trail provides a scenic view past fishing lakes, shaded woods, and grassy fields with a chance of seeing animals and other wildlife. The trail is lightly trafficked and dog owners have to keep them leashed. Bikers willing to ride the trail can be members of the parks’ Muddy Spokes Club.
