The China Creek Trail is a 0.5-mile, out-and-back trail found within the larger Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park near Renton, WA. Being a seasonal trail, the China Creek Trail is best used from February to October and is mostly used for horseback riding, hiking, nature walks, walking and bird viewing. Because of its gradual terrain, the China Creek Trail is suitable for both children and inexperienced hikers. While dogs can access the trail, they should always be on a leash. The China Creek Trail does not offer any scenic views; however, it offers a rather quick route to the Rainbow Town Trail. It is important to point out that there no designated parking spaces for the China Creek Trail. Hikers should remember to carry their water when visiting the China Creek Trail as well as the surrounding trails.
