The Chambers Bay Loop is a 3.25-mile loop trail located on Puget Sound and Islands that is rated easy. Accessible throughout the year, the Chamber Bay Loop Trail is primarily used for walking, running, hiking and nature walks. Hikers may spot mountain goats and bears from a distance. During rainy days, hikers should be on the lookout for slippery rocks. At the highest sections of the Chambers Bay Loop trail, hikers will enjoy beautiful vistas including Fort Lewis, Kern Island, Fox Island and McNeil Island. While dogs are allowed on the Chambers Bay Loop trail, they should always be on a leash. However, there is an off-leash and dog run area along the trail, where dogs do not have to necessarily be on a leash. Potable water is available on the Chambers Bay Loop trail.
