The Casco Bay Trail is a 1.6 miles point-to-point walking trail through the woods, which takes you to the breezy beach. The trail has an elevation of 29 feet and is moderately trafficked and easily accessible year around, hence appropriate for children, leashed dogs, wheelchairs, strollers and hikers. Due to its compacted dirt and rock on the surface, Casco Bay trail is ideal for road biking, nature walking, dog walking and hiking. The attractive view along the trail; forts, oceanic view, artistic museum, woodlands and the baby ospreys makes it more suitable for picnics and family time. Casco Bay Trail is accessed through the Willard beach and is rated easy for hiking. No need to carry water since vending machines are available.
