Located within the Puget Sound and Islands near Bellingham, the Cama Beach State Park Trail is a 3.5-mile, loop trail that is rated moderate. A lightly trafficked trail, the Cama Beach State Park Trail is mainly used for hiking, bird viewing, and nature walks. A variety of indigenous plants such as buttercups, youth-on-age, twinflowers, and salmonberries are plentiful along the trail. Red-winged blackbirds are also commonly sighted from the trail. Accessible throughout the year, the Cama Beach State Park rewards hikers with scenic views of the surrounding environment including Camano Island, Cranberry Lake, and the Dry Lake. While dogs can access the Cama Beach State Park Trail, they should always be on a leash. To access the Cama Beach Trail, hikers will have to obtain a Discover Pass.
