The Boundary Trail is an 80-mile, loop trail located within the North Cascades near Pasayten. Activities carried out within the Boundary Trail include hiking, walking and nature walks. Accessible throughout the year, the Boundary Trail is home to a variety of indigenous plant species including alpine and pine trees. Wild animals such as marmots, prairie dogs and ptarmigan are quite common on the Boundary Trail. From the highest point of the Boundary Trail, hikers will get to enjoy scenic views of the Horseshoe Basin, Loudon Lake, the Canadian Border, and the Amphitheater Mountain. A Northwest Forest Pass is required when visiting the trail. Dogs on a leash can access the Boundary Trail. Hikers should remember to carry plenty of drinking water when visiting the Boundary trail.
