Featuring towering granite peaks, forests, meadows, wildflowers and the beautiful mountain lake surrounded by granite that reaches for the sky, the Blue Lake Trail is definitely one of the most scenic places to visit in Washington. A family-friendly out-and-back trail, the Blue Lake Trail is suitable for families with children. Dogs on leash are allowed on this trail as well. Being a seasonal trail, the Blue Lake Trail can be accessed from July to November. To access this trail, you will have to pay a small fee for both parking and entrance fee at the trailhead. The Blue Lake trail also does allow backpacking. Drinking water can be obtained from the lakes and rivers, however, it’s important to filter this water first before consumption.
